The Department is affiliated to the International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW) which has over 200 institutions training in social work worldwide.
Research and Extension Services Languages
- Promulgating research findings through peer reviewed journals, policy briefs, position papers, local and international conferences and seminars
- Fostering participatory research procedures with local and international communities to increase uptake of research outcomes.
- Directing research that is in line with national, regional and global trends and priorities
- Inspiring student scholarship by publishing of their research projects and dissertations.
Extension Services/Community Engagement
Capacity building in Social work policy and practice as well as implementation in local, national, regional and international organisations.
