Bindura University of Science Education’s Enactus team has been invited to the prestigious Enactus World Cup, taking place in the Netherlands from the 17th to the 20th of October 2023.

This follows BUSE’s impressive performance at the National Championships in which the team finished as first runners-up to winners Lupane State University.

In a letter to the University’s Dean of Students, Dr. Chrispen Mazodze, Enactus Program Coordinator – Rangarirai Chakamanga said:

“We were thoroughly impressed by the incredible entrepreneurial endeavours showcased by your Enactus Bindura University team during the Enactus Zimbabwe National Competition, where you secured the position of the first runner-up out of 10 competing Universities that participated in the competition.

“Your dedication, innovation, and commitment to positive social impact were evident in the success of your Organic Bucket project which is an affordable liquid fertilizer solution aimed at transforming the agricultural landscape of Zimbabwe.”

He added, “By participating in this event, your university will have the chance to showcase the pioneering work accomplished by your Enactus team and inspire others with your impact-driven initiatives.”

The Enactus World Cup serves as a global platform for exceptional university students, academics, business leaders, and policymakers, offering an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, exchange ideas, and celebrate entrepreneurial achievements from around the world.

This will be the second time a BUSE team will represent the nation at the Enactus World Cup.
