Bindura University of Science Education (BUSE) proved its innovative mantle when it presented its Social Service Cluster Dashboard, Chiringa, to the Permanent Secretary in the office of Vice President Kembo Mohadi, Dr.Benson Martins Dube.

Chiringa is a monitoring dashboard which will enable the Vice President to monitor all government projects under the Social Services Cluster in real time.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony in Harare recently, Vice Chancellor Professor Eddie Mwenje said that because the Government is results-oriented, there is need for monitoring systems that will ensure timely interventions if need be.

“We want the Vice President to be able to monitor activities of the Social Services Cluster right from his office,” said Prof Mwenje.

He added, “With Chiringa, he will be able to know what is happening in each ministry and each State enterprise so that he is able to give advice or render assistance.”

Chiringa was developed by the BUSE Innovation Hub Software Development division and the name connotes the notion of looking or observing.

Software Development Manager, Mr Leo Ali said, “The dashboard streamlines the process from project creation, management, updates and progress tracking which can be monitored by the VP.”

Under the heritage-based Education 5.0 framework, BUSE has developed a number of products that answer contemporary needs. BUSE has developed the E-Tolling system which is set to drastically reduce congestion at tollgates.
