Vice Chancellor Professor Eddie Mwenje urged the incoming first-year students to be good ambassadors of the Institution and assured them of an enriching and transformative educational experience.
Professor Mwenje who was addressing the students for the first time, told them that the University has a long history of developing remarkable people who go on to have a great impact on the country and the world.
He stated that because the world is changing so quickly, there is a need for innovative solutions now more than ever and it is Bindura University of Science Education’s focus to support students in cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset, taking into consideration that every student has the potential to bring about change, start new businesses and promote economic growth.
“Today, as you join this legacy, you become part of a vibrant community dedicated to knowledge, innovation, and personal growth,” said Prof. Mwenje.
“Bindura University of Science Education is more than just an institution of higher learning. It is a crucible for shaping future leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs. Our vision is to produce highly innovative and entrepreneurial graduates. It is not merely a statement but a commitment we uphold with unwavering dedication.”
Professor Mwenje also encouraged the new students to immerse themselves in non-academic pursuits, extra-curricular activities, and the vibrant campus life and make Bindura University of Science Education their second home, a place where they will find support, inspiration, and lifelong friendships.
