University of Púnguè’s VC treated at BUSE Optometry Clinic

Bindura University of Science Education’s Optometry Clinic’s reputation as the premium eye specialist centre continues to grow after the clinic attended to visiting University of Púnguè’s Vice Chancellor, Prof.dr. Emília Zulmira Afonso Nhalevilo who was experiencing discomfort with her lenses.

Prof. dr. Nhalevilo paid a courtesy call on BUSE’s Vice Chancellor Prof. Eddie Mwenje and while touring the Optometry Clinic, she indicated to the clinic’s administrator Mrs P. Muhita that she was experiencing discomfort with her lenses.

A quick assessment by Mr Evans Aboagye, the clinic’s specialist indicated that her lenses were too close to her eye lashes and her frame was not suitable for her head shape.

Prof. Dr. Nhalevilo immediately booked an appointment and was intrigued by how affordable the clinic’s services were.

“I am surprised at the price of consultation,” she explained, to which Mrs Muhita responded: “We endeavor to provide quality; state-of-the-art optometry services to the community hence the need to make it as affordable as possible to everyone.”

Mr Aboagye presented Prof. Dr. Nhalevilo with an array of options in stock at the clinic which suit her profession as well her head shape.

She was extremely impressed by the attention to detail that was demonstrated by the staff as well as the modern equipment in the clinic which guarantee same day service for lenses fitment.

The Optometry Clinic was officially opened in 2020 by His Excellency, the President Cde Dr. Emmerson Mngangagwa. Cde Dr. Mnangagwa also received eye-care services at the clinic and has since recommended the clinic as the go-to source of specialist eye-care.
