PROFILE:           

He graduated in Physical Culture from the Higher Institute of Physical Culture of Cuba as first in his class and was recognised with a Gold Title. Master in Sports Sciences and Games from the University of Matanzas. Doctor in Physical Culture Sciences from the Higher Institute of Physical Culture of Cuba. Graduated at that time as the youngest Doctor of Science in the country. He has dedicated a large part of his professional career to the Sports Sciences. He has taught postgraduate courses in countries such as Cuba, Venezuela, Brazil, Italy, Spain, Canada and Zimbabwe. In areas such as Talent Selection and Sports Initiation, Sports Pedagogy, Training Periodization, Performance Analysis and Evaluation, and Physical Training Methodology.

For his merits as a researcher, in 2010 he received the National Awards “Young Researcher” and “Shapers of the Future” from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment of Cuba. In 2015, he received the National Awards “Young Technologist” and “Young Researcher” (second time).
