Introduction
The programme allows you to combine cell biology and chemistry knowledge to create to create solutions to medicine, agriculture, and energy problems. This program includes fundermental teaching in life sciences and explores current industry issues with a focus on cormercially oriented outcomes. The program also introduces students to the use of AI and bioinformatics in solving big data problem in health, agriculture and industry.
Structure
This program is a full time (Conventional) and runs in 4 years and involves course assessment, experiments, exams, an industrial placement in the third year and an independent research in the final year.
Entry requirements
- Normal Entry: At least five ‘O’ Level subjects including English Language AND Mathematics with a Grade C or better.
Two (2) Advanced Level passes in Biology and Chemistry and a third subject which could be physics or mathematics.
- Special Entry: National Diploma (ND) in Biotechnology, or its equivalent plus a minimum of two (2) years relevant post qualification experience.
OR
Higher National Diploma (HND) in Biotechnology or its equivalent
