Engineering Workshop Ready For Commissioning

Bindura University of Science Education (BUSE) has completed the construction of Engineering workshops, lecture rooms and Solar street lights in time for their official opening by the University’s Chancellor and the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe Cde Mnangagwa in October.

The projects were funded solely from the university’s coffers, reflecting the Institution’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for learning in line with the Government’s Education 5.0 and Vision 2030 thrust.

BUSE director of Physical Planning and Construction Mr Kamutando handed over the workshops and lecture rooms to Vice-Chancellor Professor Eddie Mwenje who expressed satisfaction with the work that was done.

Prof Mwenje said the workshops will go a long way in easing the problem of offices and learning spaces for agriculture, engineering and electrical engineering staff and students.

“Previously, the students from the Engineering Department were finding it difficult to conduct their practicals here and had to go to Harare Polytechnic College to do them. This was inconveniencing the students and I am confident that this problem has come to an end,” said Prof Mwenje.
