Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor – French (1 Post)

Qualifications and Experience  

  • Applicants must be holders of a Master’s Degree in French or Master’s Degree in Foreign Language Teaching specialising in French;
  • Possess a Bachelor of Arts degree in French or Linguistics and a Diploma in Education;
  • Knowledge of Portuguese will be an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate should be able to teach French at undergraduate level;
  • Translation and Interpretation of French and Portuguese documents;
  • Design, offer and run French Short Courses;
  • The Candidate should also be able to advise students, collaborate with the Faculty on research within and across Departments;
  • To contribute to the achievement of Education 5.0 by the Department through University teaching, research, community engagement, innovation and industrialisation;
  • Publish in peer-reviewed journals, seek and obtain external funding;
  • Should be able to supervise students’ projects and dissertations.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Departmental Chairperson;
