Assistant /Senior Assistant Registrar, Human Resources (1 Post)

Qualifications and Experience 

  • The successful candidate must hold a relevant Social Science degree and at least a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent from a reputable and recognised institution;
  • At least four (4) years post qualification experience in administration preferably in an academic environment or equivalent;
  • Applicants should also possess a  professional qualification in Human Resources such as an IPMZ Diploma or equivalent;
  • Knowledge in Payroll management would be an added advantage. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Provide administrative support in human resources functions of recruitment, selection, tenure and termination of employees;
  • Organize, compile, update and maintain employee records and statistics;
  • Manage and update Human Resources database, (recruitments, terminations, leave records, disciplinary hearings etc.);
  • Prepare, manage and maintain Human Resources Policies and Procedures;
  • Attend to employee queries and giving feedback timeously;
  • Prepare Human Resources reports, coordinate and service meetings and training seminars;
  • Ensure adherence to labour legislation and statutes;
  • Handling matters related to staff discipline and labour relations;
  • Assist in payroll management, preparation and providing relevant information;
  • Any other duties as assigned.

  • Applicants should be mature, hardworking, reliable, responsible, prepared to work overtime and should possess good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Honesty and integrity;
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines;
  • Appreciation and knowledge of general payroll practices, procedures and operations.
