Qualifications and Experience
- Applicants should have a minimum of 5 ‘O’ levels including English Language, Mathematics and Science.
- A Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Records and Archives Management or Library and Information Science or Information Technology or Computer Studies or equivalent. A Bachelor of Science Degree in related fields will be an added advantage.
- The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior/Assistant, Registrar Records Management.
Duties and Responsibilities
The duties shall include:
- Managing University records according to the requirements of the University Records Management Policy and Standard Operating Procedures;
- Monitoring the creation, use, maintenance and archiving of University Records;
- Filing of all records in a neat, orderly and accessible manner;
- Processing records for retention and disposal;
- Maintaining a clean and secure environment in all records storage facilities;
- Working with all other University Units on records management and archiving processes;
- Ensuring secure movement and safety of files and mail within and outside the University;
- Keeping an up to date records inventory for the section;
- Advising supervisors on record keeping matters;
- Attending to internal and external clients;
- Issuing of academic transcripts and certificates, and
- Performing any other duties as assigned by the Manager.
