Terms of reference
• To assist in the prosecution of research in the University and to act as a channel of communication for research matters
• To be responsible for:
(i) the initial administration and, where appropriate, the allocation of general funds having to do with the research activities of the University, for example, student research assistantships and fellowships, studentships, and support for research projects of members of academic staff, research students and fellows.
(ii) external travel connected with research, conferences and visits to other organizations.
Delegated Authority
The Research Board Committee reports to Council and Senate.
