Occupational Health and Safety Lecturer/Senior lecturer/ Associate Professor/ Professor (1 post)

Qualifications and Experience
Applications should hold a first degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Science and a Masters degree in Occupational Health and Safety passed with at least a Merit degree class. A PhD in an Environmental Science-related field is an added advantage. Applicants must have a minimum of two years teaching experience at a tertiary learning institution or traceable industrial experience working in an occupational safety environment. The curriculum vitae (CV) should contain a detailed list of publications; clearly specifying titles of publications, journal names, volumes, page numbers details, dates published, name(s) of publishers and of co-authors if any, or proven industrial experience with development or implementation of occupational health and safety management systems and presentation of reports for the organisation at seminars of conferences.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Applicants must be able to teach at least three (3) courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels to both conventional and block students from the following: Ergonomics; Occupational Hygiene & Toxicology; Safety, Health and Environmental Auditing; Occupational Health & Safety Legislation; Safety, Health & Risk Management, and Occupational Health & Safety Education. The department reserves the right to allocate courses for teaching.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the department’s activities involving teaching, research and community engagement.
