  • ON CAMPUS ACCOMMODATION: FIRST YEAR STUDENTS (1.1) ONLY

3.1 Students who wish to be considered for on campus accommodation should apply on accommodation@buse.ac.zw. Please attach proof of full tuition fees, EXCLUDING ACCOMMODATION fees.

3.2  Students with special needs are encouraged to state their needs on the application.

3.3 The On Campus Accommodation application window will be open from 23 June to 23 July 2023. Accommodation is limited and shall be allocated on a first come/apply, first serve basis.

3.4 Students will be allocated accommodation taking into consideration the proximity of Halls of Residences to their learning facilities.

3.5 A list of successfully placed students will be availed on the University website on 29 July 2023.

3.6 Students will ONLY PAY the accommodation fees upon confirmation by the Accommodation Office that the space is available.

3.7  In order to be admitted into the halls of residence, students need to fulfil the following requirements;

  • Provide proof of full fees payment (EXCLUDING ACCOMMODATION)and
  • Provide proof of payment of Accommodation fees into the Nostro Account:

3.8 Accommodation costs are as follows:-

  • New Complex 1: USD 260.00 per semester;
  • Darwin Road Complex: USD 240.00 per semester.
  • Main Campus Complex: USD 240.00 per semester.

3.9   Students who fail to secure campus accommodation, should also contact Mr F.M.T. Zanza on WhatsApp 0714 156 992 for assistance in securing appropriate Off Campus Accommodation.

4.0 RETURNING STUDENTS

4.1 All returning students are reminded that the Academic Calendar remains as published before and that registration starts immediately after publication of results and ends on 31 August 2023.

  • The late registration penalty is US$1.00 per day inclusive of weekends up to a maximum of thirty (30) days. After 5 October 2023 no registration requests shall be entertained. This deadline also applies to students on industrial attachment.
  1. HEALTH AND SAFETY FOR ALL STUDENTS, STAFF AND STAKEHOLDERS
  • The safety and health of our students and staff remains a top priority for the University The University will operate under the prescribed COVID-19 pandemic  regulations to ensure the safety of students, staff and other stakeholders.
  • Students and staff should minimize printing and exchange of hard copy documents. Both students and staff must use and embrace virtual and digital platforms for communication.
  • Students, Staff and stakeholders are encouraged to continue practising good hygiene, washing hands frequently with soap for at least twenty (20) seconds and practising social distancing.
  • All students should remain vigilant and strictly adhere to COVID-19 protocols as stipulated by the World Health Organizations (WHO) and guidelines set by the Ministry of Health and Child Care to combat the COVID-19 virus.
