- Traditional medicines and indigenous foods: Medico-nutritional properties and application to improve health and facilitate healing. Special interests are on diseases such as malaria, cholera, diabetes, obesity, cancers and hypertension.
- Heavy metal toxicology in indigenous medicinal and food plants
- Developing low cost and green household and laboratory chemicals
- Drug discovery, efficacy studies and synthesis and impact of drugs on the environment.
