Bachelor of Science Honours in Biological Sciences (BScBZH)
Introduction
A very broad programme that allows you to explore human biology, ecology and molecular biology and to tailor your degree to your own area of interest. This program is for students who are keen to explore the complexity and diversity of living organisms, which helps us to understand life in all its form.
Structure
This program is a full time (Conventional) and runs in 4 years and involves course assessment, experiments, exams, an industrial placement in the third year and an independent research in the final year.
Entry requirements
- Normal Entry: Candidates must have passes at Advanced Level in Biology and any one of the following Advanced Level subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Physical Science, Agriculture or their recognized equivalent have 5 ‘O’ Level passes including English Language and Mathematics passed with at least a grade C.
- Special Entry: National Certificate, National Diploma, Higher National Diploma in relevant field
- Mature Entry: A candidate must have 25years of age with 5 years of working experience in the relevant field and have passed 5 ‘O’ level subjects including English Language and Mathematics passed with at least a grade C. May be required to pass a written/ oral entrance examination set by the University in the Biological Sciences Department. University General Regulations apply in other issues.
