Introduction
The Department of Intelligence and Security Studies is one of the six departments in the Faculty of Commerce and it offers two programmes: Bachelor of Business Administration Honours in Police and Security Studies, and Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Financial Intelligence. Reflecting the growing importance placed on security and fighting organized economic crime by Governments, Commerce and Business Organizations world-over, the unique programmes offer the opportunity to enhance knowledge and skills in these rapidly developing fields. The Intelligence and Security Studies Department is committed to produce highly acclaimed graduates who are able to fight business and economic crimes and who are able to meet the contemporary security needs in a dynamic environment. Given that security is the bedrock upon which economic development can be achieved and sustained, these degree programmes fit well into the nation’s development trajectory.

Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree in Financial Intelligence 4 years (Conventional)
This programme targets the following group:

- Compliance officers in financial institutions
- Financial Intelligence personnel (Reserve Bank and Financial Institutions)
- Security/ loss control managers/ officers
- Risk managers/ officers
- Investigating officers
- Auditors
- Forensic auditors/ investigators

Bachelor of Business Administration in Police and Security Studies
We target the following groups:

- Entrepreneurs in the security industry
Currently holding road traffic safety awareness campaigns in Bindura urban which will culminate in the erection of several billboards along Harare – Bindura high way.
