Applicants must have a PhD in Mathematical statistic and Data Science or any relevant field. The successful candidate should have a strong background in ecology, data analysis with R and Python. The candidate should have proven track record of research publication and grant application.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate shall be expected to teach at least three of the following courses: Statistics and Research Methods.
The candidate shall be expected to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate Research and Product Development Projects, carry out research individually and in clusters; and apply for external research grants and conduct workshops for postgraduate students and staff.
Applicants must have a proven record of publications and ability to mobilize funds will be added advantages. The curriculum vitae (CV) should contain a detailed list of publications; clearly specifying titles of publications, journal names, volumes, page numbers details, dates published, name(s) of publishers and name(s) of co-authors if any. Publications should be categorized into: books, monographs, refereed and non-refereed journals, chapters in books, etc.
Six (6) copies of the following: application letter, certified copies of educational certificates, National ID, Birth Certificates and CV’s giving full personal particulars including full name, place and date of birth, qualifications, previous employment and experience, present salary, date of availability, telephone number, email address, name and addresses of three referees including email addresses.
