Bindura University of Science Education (BUSE) participated at the 2019 Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) which was held on the 23 rd to 27 th April at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre in Bulawayo. The trade-fair ran under the theme ‘Propagating Industrial Growth through Trade and Investments’.
The University has fully embraced Education 5.0 which is premised on problem solving, value creation, industrialisation and modernisation. This is evidenced by the type of innovations BUSE exhibited at the ZITF.These included an anti-alopecia cream that reverses baldness; bio-oil and, shower gel made from baobab oil; dish-washer; anti-dandruff shampoo; environmentally friendly car wash liquid; anti-diabetic snack and, bleach free toilet cleaner.
The innovations attracted the attention of a number of stakeholders including the media which published the innovations in the Sunday News of 28 April 2019.A number of organisations are expressed interest to partner BUSE forindustrial and export purposes of the showcased products.
Besides the chemistry innovations, BUSE also exhibited programmes on offer,the University Press and the National Sports Academy.
The university was represented by the Marketing and Development department,the National Sports Academy, the University Press, some faculty representatives and, the Admissions office.
