Bindura University of Science Education (BUSE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Namibia (UNAM) to facilitate and enhance the academic collaboration between the two institutions.
UNAM Vice Chancellor Prof. Kenneth Matengu and BUSE Vice-Chancellor Prof Eddie Mwenje signed the MoU on behalf of their institutions at a function held in Namibia.
The MoU, which will be in effect for five years, will facilitate collaboration in teaching, specifically capacity building in the training of teachers for Advanced Subsidiary curriculum, Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) Education disciplines.
It will also cover related areas such as research and innovation, publications, hosting of conferences, student and staff exchange, community engagement activities, and implementation of academic programmes from undergraduate to postgraduate
Further, the agreement will enable UNAM and BUSE to recruit for joint teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate students in Science and Mathematics Education programmes, and conduct joint research activities within mutually agreed fields of study.
