Bindura University of Science Education and Premier Service Medical Investments entered into an agreement to collaborate in the training and development of optometrists with effect from December 2018.
To cement the agreement, the two parties met on the 12th of February at the Bindura University of Science Education main campus boardroom. The meeting also discussed the terms of the reference of the collaboration.
As part of the agreements, PSMI agreed to provide comprehensive training and internships programmes for eligible students studying towards a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in optometry. The members also visited the optometry labs at the Astra Campus to familiarise on the equipment that students were currently using.
The occasion was graced by Prof Parawira PVC, Mr S. G Chitera Deputy Registrar , Mr M. Dube, Director Human Resources, PSMI, Mrs A. Carlson, Head of Optometry Services of PSMI, and Mr N. Marandu, Senior Manager Customer Service and Alliance PSMI and other PSMI and BUSE members.
