BUSE successfully held a Fundraising Golf Tournament on the 27th of July 2019 at the Zimbabwe Republic Police Golf Club in Harare. The objective of the event was to raise resources for academic and sporting development for the BUSE National Sports Academy Talentees.
The Guest of Honour, Mr Ron Mutandagayi who is the Group Chief Executive Officer for ZB Financial Holdings, who was represented by Mr Brilliant Shumba, the Managing Director for ZB Reinsurance cherished the good relationship the organisation has with the University. He went on to implore all partners to support the institution in academic and sporting talent development. He intimated that ZB will always continue to partner the University`s various programmes.
The event was a hive of activity which provided a fertile networking platform for company executives and the University. A total of twenty teams battled it out on the day and showed off their golfing skills.
The Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof Wilson Parawira, who stood in for the Vice Chancellor gave some welcome remarks. He thanked all sponsors for their generosity and support towards various University projects. He also appealed for partnership from the stakeholders in the replacement of the gymnasium equipment which was destroyed by fire in June 2019.
The event was sponsored by a number of organisations which derived maximum marketing benefits from this attractive event. ZB Bank was the event Title Sponsor after investing RTGS$15 000 into the event. ASA Resource Group, which has partnered the institution since the inception of the event in 2016 contributed RTGS$80 034.35, with RTGS$75 534, 35 going towards the welfare of one Talentee for a full year.

The BUSE Golf Tournament has become a very exciting annual event which leaves stakeholders looking forward to the next one.
