Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Crop Science

The mission of the Crop Science Degree is to provide continued excellence in agronomic research, teaching, and extension activities. Crop Science is a diverse field of study that encompasses aspects of plant pathology, plant biology, plant physiology, crop production and soil management. The Crop Science option was introduced in August 2004 and is set to grow to meet the crop production challenges in the country and beyond. The main goals of the Unit include the expansion of knowledge in crop science; development and dissemination of appropriate information and technologies for agronomic practice to the farming community; preparing students for successful careers and higher education in agronomy and related sciences.
